I cried at the end. I'm not sure what I was expecting when I bought this book, but I didn't expect to cry.I'm really happy I decided to buy this. It was a good testament to Christian faith, and how the actions of ordinary people really are important.
I definitely recommend this book.

Henry may be in a coma but that is not going to keep him from thinking about everything he is and what it took to get here. He has led a full life but in the end with his thoughts coming in more clearly than move, Henry questioned if the life he led had meaning.
There was the coming of age before WWII where everything mattered in a different way. Henry was a baseball rising star that had a future after his time in service until tragedy took that away and he went home to begin again with a new role in life. He married a beautiful woman but was not convinced he always did right by her. There were decisions he made that affected their future that he decided alone to gamble on a life they could have not one they would have. But Henry always took time to do whatever work he could find with pride and never dismiss any one working alongside him. Everyone was treated as an equal regardless of their lot in life.
As years roll by and time moves forward as it always does Henry starts to wonder if he did enough or was he kind more often than not. But when the end comes Henry discovers he was much more than just kind he was thoughtful of everyone.
Feel good read to remind all of us that every little act of kindness will come back to you ten-fold.
Wish book was hard-copy. Excellentbook for gift and library. OUTSTANDING MESSAGE.
Paying forward is an excellent read, in a genre that I have actively avoided for quite a while. Mr. Roderus has produced a beautiful book that has reignited a passion to read religious fiction.
I enjoyed this story of Henry and Rachel. It felt like it could be a true story. As I read along, I could picture the characters and found myself relating to many of the events that took place.
A touching tale of introspection told from the view of a coma patient. Highly original and cleverly written, this book will make you laugh, cry and ultimately take a closer look at your own life.
I personally typically only read nonfiction books. This was one of the books that I had to make an exception for as it was recommended by a friend of mines.
there is a lot to learn from the story. a lot of what you read with definitely translate into your everyday life. I recommend this book.
This is a story of an ordinary man - how he has touched so many people in his life without realizing it. He is not a war hero. He is not a successful businessman. Yet through his honesty, good nature and deep faith, he has changed others' lives positively. Nicely written
